Anointing of the sick

A Sacrament of Healing and Grace

Our priests are available to administer the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick to those who are seriously ill, facing surgery, or experiencing physical or spiritual challenges. Whether you or your loved one is in the hospital, at home, or in a care facility, a priest can come to provide this healing sacrament.

The Sacrament brings Christ’s grace and comfort through prayer, anointing with blessed oil, and when possible, the reception of Holy Communion. You need not wait until the final moments of illness – the Church encourages the faithful to receive this Sacrament when beginning a serious illness or entering the hospital for significant treatment.
