6th Sunday of the Year
The 6th Sunday of the Year refers to the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time in the Catholic Church's liturgical calendar. Ordinary Time is a season outside of the major liturgical periods of Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. It focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus, offering an opportunity for spiritual growth and reflection on how to live out the Gospel in daily life.
On the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time, specific readings from Scripture are assigned for the Mass, following the Church's three-year cycle of readings (Years A, B, and C). These readings typically include a passage from the Old Testament, a psalm, a New Testament letter, and a Gospel reading. The themes often highlight Jesus' teachings, such as love, discipleship, or living according to God's commandments.
If a feast or solemnity, such as the Presentation of the Lord, falls on a Sunday in Ordinary Time, it may take precedence, and the usual readings for that Sunday would be replaced with those for the feast.

The 7th Sunday of the Year refers to the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time, a period in the liturgical calendar that focuses on the teachings, life, and ministry of Jesus. The 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time typically features Scripture readings that explore themes such as mercy, love, forgiveness, or living as disciples of Christ. The specific readings for this Sunday depend on the liturgical year (A, B, or C) and are part of a three-year cycle designed to cover a broad range of biblical teachings.
